Ariana is our wonderful sterilization technician. Ariana joined the University Centre Dental Associates family in June of 2009. She is originally from Prince George’s County, Maryland. She assists us in keeping our treatment areas clean and in compliance with sterilization guidelines for the comfort and safety of our patients.
When Ariana is not in school or working with the UCDA family, she enjoys spending time with her family and shopping.
Claudia is our practice’s Chief Orthodontic Assistant. She is originally from Mexico City, Mexico. She has been with the University Centre Dental Associates family since May of 2006. She can converse with our patients in both English and Spanish. Prior to becoming an Orthodontic Assistant, she was a licensed Dentist in Mexico. Claudia has over 18 years of experience in the Dental Field.
Claudia has completed advanced training in Expanded Functions for Dental Assisting and Orthodontic Assisting. She is dedicated to helping our orthodontic patients attain a healthy and beautiful smile. She is instrumental in showing patients how to clean and take care of their appliances, and she manages the orthodontic records for the practice.
When not working with her patients, Claudia enjoys swimming, walking her dog and spending time with her two children and her husband.
DeSean is our practice’s Chief Dental Assistant. He is originally from Prince George’s County, Maryland. DeSean joined the University Centre Dental Associates family in May of 2010. He has over seven years of experience in the Dental Field.
DeSean has completed advanced training in Expanded Functions for Dental Assisting. He has taken numerous workshops and seminars in CEREC® technology, periodontal charting and advanced dental assisting techniques.
DeSean is dedicated to helping our patients attain a healthy and beautiful smile. He works with Dr. Maurice Haynes on the General Dentistry side of the practice.
When not working with his patients, DeSean enjoys spending time listening to music and reading. He is a huge sports fan who eats, sleeps, and drinks anything to do with the Washington Redskins and all the other home teams in the area.
India is our practice’s Dental Hygienist. She is originally from Lansing, Michigan. Prior to becoming a Dental Hygienist, she was a Certified Orthodontic Assistant, and she worked with Dr. Elizabeth Haynes for six years in that capacity. India has over 21 years of experience in the dental profession.
India graduated from Howard University’s Dental Hygiene Program in 2004 and immediately entered into private practice. In August of 2004, she joined University Centre Dental Associates part time, and in 2012, she joined us full time.
India actively participates in continuing education because she is dedicated to maintaining the highest standard of oral hygiene care and is interested in learning the latest techniques and technologies to deliver that care. She is also the practice’s HIPPA officer.
India is dedicated to helping her patients attain and maintain the healthiest smile possible. When not working with her patients, India enjoys white water rafting, camping, and spending time with her son Sean.
Jamaira is our General Dentistry Patient Coordinator and Personnel Manager. She joined the University Centre Dental Associates family in April of 2011. She is originally from Honduras. She can converse with our patients in both English and Spanish. Jamaira has over 11 years of experience in the Dental Field. She has completed seminars in dental scheduling and billing techniques, and she is certified in insurance billing.
Jamaira’s aim is to help our patients attain the beautiful and healthy smile they have always wanted, by assisting them with their insurance or payment-plan needs. She works with Dr. Maurice Haynes on the general dentistry side of our practice.
When not working with her patients, Jamaira enjoys helping the church she attends, reading, and spending time with her son, husband, and friends.
Jodi-Ann is one of four of our qualified Orthodontic Assistants. Jodi-Ann joined the University Centre Dental Associates family in February of 2008. She is originally from the beautiful island of Jamaica. She has over 12 years of experience in the Dental Field.
She has completed advanced training in Expanded Functions for Dental Assisting and Orthodontic Assisting. She has taken many seminars and technique workshops in advanced orthodontic assisting techniques to keep her skills up-to-date.
Jodi-Ann cares about all of her patients and is dedicated to helping them get the smile they’ve always wanted in a friendly and fun way. She works with Dr. Elizabeth Haynes on the orthodontics side of our practice.
When not working with her patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, reading, and travelling.
Norma is one of four of our qualified Orthodontic Assistants. She joined the University Centre Dental Associates family in July of 2011. She is originally from El Salvador. She can converse with our patients in both English and Spanish, and she has over 15 years of experience in the Dental Field.
Norma has completed advanced training in Expanded Functions for Dental Assisting and Orthodontic Assisting. She attends seminars in advanced orthodontic assisting techniques yearly at the national Orthodontic Association meetings.
Norma is dedicated to helping our patients attain a healthy and beautiful smile, in a gentle and friendly manner. She works with Dr. Elizabeth Haynes on the orthodontics side of our practice.
When not working with her patients, Norma enjoys travelling, reading, and spending time with her children, family, and friends.
Tammy is one of four of our qualified Orthodontic Assistants. Tammy joined the University Centre Dental Associates family in May of 2006. She is originally from Baltimore, Maryland. She has over 15 years of experience in the Dental Field.
Tammy has completed advanced training in Expanded Functions for Dental Assisting and Orthodontic Assisting. She has taken numerous workshops and seminars in advanced orthodontic assisting techniques.
Tammy is dedicated to helping our patients attain a healthy and beautiful smile, in a relaxed and friendly manner. She is also in charge of ordering and is our OSHA officer. She works with Dr. Elizabeth Haynes on the orthodontics side of our practice.
When not working with her patients, Tammy enjoys spending time with her children, family, and friends.
Yesley is our Orthodontic Patient Coordinator. She joined the University Centre Dental Associates family in January of 2011. She is originally from San Miguel, El Salvador. She can converse with our patients in both English and Spanish. Yesley has over 5 years of experience in the Dental/Medical Billing Field.
Yesley has completed seminars in orthodontic scheduling and billing techniques yearly at the national Orthodontic Association meetings.
Yesley is dedicated to helping our patients attain a healthy and beautiful smile by assisting them with their insurance or payment-plan needs. She works with Dr. Elizabeth Haynes on the orthodontics side of our practice.
